ULTRA-GLO Available in 63 stock colors, ULTRA-GLO single stage acrylic urethane enamels offer a premium quality finish at minimal cost. ULTRA-GLO is a high gloss, durable paint designed for automotive and fleet refinishing when a top-of-the-line finish is desired. ULTRA-GLO provides a high degree of UV protection to help keep vehicles looking glossy and deep in color for years. Factory-packaged acrylic urethane colors were carefully selected based on overall popularity from year to year.
Also available in the ULTRA-GLO acrylic urethane system are the new DIAMOND PEARL Series and URETHANE CANDY BASE Series colors, which give automotive paint shops an even greater range of stunning custom colors to select from.
Mix ¾ gallon of ULTRA-GLO acrylic urethane enamel to one quart of UA-1600 Medium, or Slow hardener (3:1). In most applications reducer is not required, however, if used, Kirker recommends the mix comprise no more than 10% of the appropriate temperature urethane reducer. Kirker acrylic urethane clears may be applied as a topcoat or added into the final coat to increase gloss and durability.
Apply in two medium wet coats over properly prepared and primed surfaces. A third coat may be fogged as necessary to set metallic pattern evenly. Allow 5-15 minutes flash time between coats.
At 68° F, ULTRA-GLO should be set to touch within 20 minutes, and dry within one hour.
Pot life for mixed material is approximately 2 hours. Less for elevated temperatures.
Use UFE-8 Fisheye Eliminator in the first coat only if necessary.
